Isle of Man Candy

I popped into Urban Hair on Bucks Road in Douglas last week (673639). What a busy place! There were dozens of customers at various stages of getting done.  The women that work there were all buzzing about looking like they were having a ball while they worked. So I decided to go in and get a cut.

I’m soooooooooooooo happy!  I got five inches of my mop sheared off and a really great blow out.  I wanted to bring my stylist home so she can do me every morning! But she wouldn’t come.

And it wasn’t too dear.  Just £30 including tip.  I deffo recommend this salon to anyone who wants be well groomed and look stylish without paying a ton.  Scissors

It's time for my dental check up and I'm soooooooooooo nervous.  I just hate sitting back in that chair and getting my gums picked with a crochet hook. Yikes…ouch!

So I'm a bit nervous when I enter the Prime Choice Dental Centre on Ridgeway Street in Douglas. But the place is soooooooooo modern, cool and clean.  The nice chap at reception offers me coffee, supplied by Spill the Beans.  Nice.

The surgery is brand spanking new and glistening white.  The dentist is very friendly.  I'm in and out in 10 minutes and it doesn't hurt a bit. I get to see my teeth on camera, nice touch.  The dentist  doesn't need to see me for another year.  Result! Now I'm smiling.

{J f, 2006}   What a glorious day!

It's sooooooooo nice out today.  Everyone is in shorts and crop tops enjoying the sunshine. The birds are chirping and the bees are buzzing…what more can you ask for on a Sunday afternoon?  Well maybe  a trip to the beach?  That's one of great things about living in the Isle of Man…there are so many loverly beaches to hang out at.

Today we are going to Peel Beach.  It's huge with lots of gorgeous soft sand.  It sits on a large bay on the west coast in the shadow of Peel Castle.  There is enough peeps around to make it interesting but it's not too crowded so we spread out on our blanket, slap on the Amber Solaire (BOGOF at Boots!) suntan lotion and give ourselves a jolly good baking.  I fall asleep.  Ouch! Do you think lobsters are this sore when they turn red?
