InsideOut & Terrace Chippie down and out

I was out for a stroll down Bucks Road earlier today and was surprised to see that InsideOut that cool little gift shop near Christian Road has gone out of business!  What a shame.  I used to like dropping in there to poke around the cool stuff.  I wonder what happened? Maybe they’re just moving?  I hope so. 

And, strolling a bit further up the road I stopped in a the Terrace Chippie where I was charged the highway robbery price of £4.50 for fish and chips!   Can you imagine?  How galling!  Hey Terrace Chippie owner…you’ve got fried fish and potatoes on offer, not filet mignon and caviar!   I had a very lovely sit down meal a the The Bay View Hotel in Port St Mary at the weekend that cost me only a pound more.  And it wasn’t served in newspaper either. 

I’m pretty sure that’s the second price increase in a year and I’m boycotting the place till they knock at least 60p off the price of an order of fish & chips.   Join me! It will be sooooooooooooooo cool if we can make this happen.

TK Maxx opens tomorrow

Yes 2moro the Big Day finally arrives.  The Isle of Man’s very own TK Maxx store on Strand Street opens its doors!  I’m soooooooooooooo excited.

They have loads and loads of designer labels, fab brands at way-low prices.  They have tons of boho chic, girly glam and uber cool fashions. Not to mention all those belts, shoes and handbags!

I’m gonna get me some.

Handbag heaven!

I found the best place on the Island for handbags! Tynwald Mills on the way to Peel has thousands of really pretty purses and handbags.  Lots are really unusal and there are plenty of top brands too.  And they also have a great selection of shoes and acres of really nice, designer clothes. I spent loads on new togs.  It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere, but I’m sooooooooo glad I found this place. Zooma for gorgeous gifts

Oooooooooooooooooh!  I just found the best little shop. Zooma Gifts is in Castletown, just across from the old House of Keys.  It's full of exotic treasures from around the world…jewellry, glassware, toys and well…you name it.  And every single item is absolutely beautiful. Hallo…back from hols!

You will never believe how much my blog traffic has plummeted with my being away for a few days.  But no prob, I'm back.  After a 19 hour journey I'm pretty knackered, I can tell you.  But I wanted to share this divine looking cake that Trixie emailed me today.  I'm off to M&S tomorrow to see if I can find one!

I like a bit of CAKE!

Oh my.  I've just had a lovely bit of cake served up on my RSS from a company called Elegant Cheesecakes. It's Mother's Day in America next week and so they've combined two of my fave things…handbags and cheesecake.  Yum and Yum. I want one! Gimme cake! Gotta have a bit of cake! 

Where can I get on in the Island of Man? Does anyone know?

A “little” does you good..

Springtime is in the air and young lady's fancy turns to…ahem!  Well, lets just say today I want to go shopping for lingerie!

Soooooo many tiny pretty things in the stores, it was hard to choose so I get three sets.  I stroll down Strand Street wondering where I should go…no to McKay's….no to M&S…then I see it.  The lovely pink letters beckoning me in…Ann Summers.  It's not just Rampant Rabbits and Naughty Nurses at Ann's you know!  She has some very lovely stuff. 

I spend an hour trying things on and decided on three "outfits".  I didn't think I'd be post a photo of myself, but on this occasion I'll make an exception.  What do you think of what I got?
